Vikrant Salar — Engineering Work for U.S. Technology Resilience

Vikrant Salar's current work through SALAR Technologies LLC focuses on practical engineering problems that affect the resilience of U.S. electronics, semiconductor supply chains, AI infrastructure and mission-critical hardware.

Where the work concentrates

Semiconductor supply-chain resilience

Lower-tier dependency mapping, concentration risk, DMSMS, alternate-source constraints and evidence-backed mitigation.

Trusted electronics

Provenance, source-confidence reasoning, counterfeit-risk triage and traceable release decisions.

Mission-critical reliability

Derating, worst-case stress, thermal/electrical margin, failure evidence and lifecycle sustainment.

AI infrastructure

High-speed fabric validation, power/thermal resilience, telemetry and evidence-to-decision assurance.

Public technical output

The work is documented through books, white papers, technical guides, patent filings, public engineering pages and computational research. SALAR's goal is to make complex engineering risk explainable and actionable rather than hide it behind opaque scoring.

Engineering career foundation

Before founding SALAR Technologies, Vikrant's career included semiconductor, networking, storage and hardware-system roles across Intel, Citrix, Cisco, NetApp and Nokia/Nokia Siemens Networks. That experience spans architecture, validation, manufacturing, reliability, supplier coordination and cross-functional program execution.

Public research infrastructure

Vikrant serves as project lead for SALAR's salargraph research work using Argonne Leadership Computing Facility resources under an approved user allocation. Public descriptions are intentionally careful not to imply Argonne, DOE or U.S. Government endorsement.
